حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رَفَعَهُ " نَهَى عَنِ الْمُحَاقَلَةِ: وَهُوَ اشْتِرَاءُ الزَّرْعِ وَهُوَ فِي سُنْبُلِهِ بِالْحِنْطَةِ، وَنَهَى عَنِ الْمُزَابَنَةِ: وَهُوَ شِرَاءُ الثِّمَارِ بِالتَّمْرِ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) in a marfu’ form that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the sale of Muhaqalah, that is, selling fruit while it is still in the clusters in exchange for wheat, and he also forbade the sale of Muzabanah, which means selling fruit in exchange for dates.
