Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَزْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ، سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، يَقُولُ: " أَلا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرُ " (٥)، ، •
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from ‘Abd Khair. I heard ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) say:
Shall I not tell you of the best of this ummah after the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)? It is Abu Bakr and ʼUmar (رضي الله عنهما) .
