حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " النَّاسُ مَعَادِنُ، خِيَارُهُمْ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ خِيَارُهُمْ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ إِذَا فَقِهُوا فِي الدِّينِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: People are like hidden treasures (mines), those who were the best in the time of ignorance are also the best in the time of Islam, provided that they become learned in religion.
