Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " لَأَنْ يَجْلِسَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى جَمْرَةٍ، فَتُحْرِقَ ثِيَابَهُ حَتَّى تَخْلُصَ إِلَيْهِ، خَيْرٌ لُهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَطَأَ عَلَى قَبْرِ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ " (٤)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: It is better for any one of you to sit on a burning coal that burns his clothes and reaches his skin than to sit on the grave of a Muslim.
