حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " ثَلَاثٌ كُلُّهُنَّ حَقٌّ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ: عِيَادَةُ الْمَرِيضِ، وَشُهُودُ الْجِنَازَةِ، وَتَشْمِيتُ الْعَاطِسِ إِذَا حَمِدَ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: There are three things that are the right of every Muslim upon another Muslim: to visit the sick, to attend the funeral, and to respond to the one who sneezes when he says "Alhamdulillah" (by saying "Yarhamuk Allah").
