حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، وَغَيْرِهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " رَأَى عِيسَى رَجُلًا يَسْرِقُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: يَا فُلَانُ أَسَرَقْتَ؟ قَالَ: لَا، وَاللهِ، ، مَا سَرَقْتُ، قَالَ: آمَنْتُ بِاللهِ وَكَذَّبْتُ بَصَرِي " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: Once Isa (peace be upon him) saw a man stealing, so he said to him, "Are you stealing?" He immediately replied, "Never! By Allah, I have not stolen." Isa (peace be upon him) said, "I believe in Allah (by whom you have sworn) and I consider my eyes to be mistaken."
