حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ النَّضْرِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " حُفَّتِ الْجَنَّةُ بِالْمَكَارِهِ، وَحُفَّتِ النَّارُ بِالشَّهَوَاتِ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: Hell has been surrounded by desirable passions, and Paradise has been surrounded by undesirable (difficult) matters.
