حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ، وَالْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ، وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ، أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ فَهُمْ أَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً، وَأَلْيَنُ قُلُوبًا، وَالْكُفْرُ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ، وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلَاءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ، وَالْإِبِلِ وَالْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ، وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The people of Yemen have come to you; these people are soft-hearted, and faith, wisdom, and jurisprudence are very excellent among the people of Yemen. And disbelief is on the eastern side. Pride and arrogance are found among the owners of horses and camels, and calmness and tranquility are found among the owners of goats.
