Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " قَلْبُ الشَّيْخِ شَابٌّ فِي حُبِّ اثْنَتَيْنِ: طُولِ الْحَيَاةِ، وَكَثْرَةِ الْمَالِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
And the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: In an old man, love for two things becomes young: long life and abundance of wealth.
