Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ: " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ عِنْدَ الْأَذَانِ، وَيُصَلِّي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ عِنْدَ الْإِقَامَةِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to pray Witr at the time of the adhan and pray two rak`ahs at the time of the iqamah.
