حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَعْنِي أَبَا أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيَّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمِّي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَوْ يَعْلَمُ أَحَدُكُمْ مَا لَهُ فِي أَنْ يَمْشِيَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ أَخِيهِ مُعْتَرِضًا وَهُوَ يُنَاجِي رَبَّهُ، كَانَ لَأَنْ يَقِفَ فِي ذَلِكَ الْمَكَانِ مِائَةَ عَامٍ، أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَنْ يَخْطُوَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: If a person were to know what punishment there is for passing in front of his praying brother, then it would be better for him to stand there for a hundred years than to pass in front of him in a single moment.
