حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ قَيْسٍ يَقْرَأُ، فَقَالَ: " لَقَدْ أُعْطِيَ هَذَا مِنْ مَزَامِيرِ آلِ دَاوُدَ (٣) " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) heard Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reciting (the Qur'an), so he said: "Abu Musa Ash'ari has been given a voice like that of Dawud (peace be upon him)."
