Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a group of people were sitting in one place when the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) came to them and stood and said, "Shall I tell you who among you is the best and who is the worst?" The people remained silent. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) repeated his statement three times. Then one of them said, "Why not, O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)?" He said, "The best among you is the one from whom good is expected and people are safe from his evil, and the worst among you is the one from whom no good is expected and people are not safe from his evil."
