حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ قَدْ أَيِسَ أَنْ يُعْبَدَ بِأَرْضِكُمْ هَذِهِ، وَلَكِنَّهُ قَدْ رَضِيَ مِنْكُمْ بِمَا تَحْقِرُونَ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Satan has despaired of being worshipped in your land of Arabia in two major ways, but he is pleased with those things which you consider insignificant.
