حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَوْبَرِ، قَالَ: أَتَى رَجُلٌ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، فَقَالَ: أَنْتَ الَّذِي تَنْهَى النَّاسَ أَنْ يُصَلُّوا، عَلَيْهِمْ (٢) نِعَالُهُمْ؟ قَالَ: " لَا، وَلَكِنْ وَرَبِّ هَذِهِ الْحُرْمَةِ، لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي إِلَى هَذَا الْمَقَامِ، وَعَلَيْهِ نَعْلَاهُ، وَانْصَرَفَ وَهُمَا عَلَيْهِ "، " وَنَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ فِي أَيَّامٍ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
Abu Al-Awbar (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a man came to Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "Are you the one who has seen people praying while wearing shoes and then returning?" However, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) forbade fasting only on the day of Jumu'ah unless it is included in one's regular practice.
