حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ أُذَيْنٍ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا يُؤْمِنُ الْعَبْدُ الْإِيمَانَ كُلَّهُ حَتَّى يَتْرُكَ الْكَذِبَ فِي الْمُزَاحِ، وَالْمِرَاءَ وَإِنْ كَانَ صَادِقًا " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: No person can be a complete believer until he gives up lying even in jest, and abandons quarrelling even when he is truthful.
