Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: On the night of Mi'raj, when we reached the seventh heaven, my gaze was lifted upwards. There was thunder, lightning, and roaring of clouds. Then I came upon a people whose bellies were like rooms, in which snakes and the like could be seen from outside their bellies. I asked, "O Jibreel (peace be upon him), who are these people?" He replied, "These are those who consumed usury." Then when I returned to the lowest heaven, my gaze fell downwards. There were screams, smoke, and voices to be heard. I asked, "O Jibreel, what is this?" He replied, "These are the devils who are throwing dust into the eyes of the children of Adam so that they do not ponder over the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. If it were not so, people would see great wonders."
