حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سُهَيْلٍ (٢) نَافِعُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَبِي عَامِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " آيَةُ الْمُنَافِقِ ثَلَاثٌ: إِذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ، وَإِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ، وَإِذَا اؤْتُمِنَ خَانَ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: There are three signs of a hypocrite: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when something is entrusted to him, he betrays the trust.
