حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلَاءُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: وَقَرَأَ عَلَيْهِ أُبَيٌّ أُمَّ، ، الْقُرْآنِ، فَقَالَ: " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، مَا أُنْزِلَ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ، وَلَا فِي الْإِنْجِيلِ، وَلَا فِي الزَّبُورِ، وَلَا فِي الْفُرْقَانِ مِثْلُهَا، إِنَّهَا السَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي، وَالْقُرْآنُ الْعَظِيمُ الَّذِي أُعْطِيتُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) recited Surah Al-Fatiha, so the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul, neither in the Torah, nor in the Gospel, nor in the Psalms, nor even in the Qur'an itself has any other surah like this been revealed. This is the very Sab‘ al-Mathani and the Great Qur'an which has been given to me.
