Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَا نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا، وَمَا أَمَرْتُكُمْ بِهِ، فَخُذُوا مِنْهُ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whatever I forbid you from, abstain from it, and whatever I command you to do, do it to the best of your ability.
