Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ (١) ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، نَهَى عَنِ الشُّرْبِ مِنْ فَمِ السِّقَاءِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade drinking water directly from the mouth of a water-skin.
