حَدَّثَنَا حُجَيْن بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى أَبُو عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ أُذَيْنٍ (١) ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا يُؤْمِنُ الْعَبْدُ الْإِيمَانَ كُلَّهُ، حَتَّى يَتْرُكَ الْكَذِبَ فِي (٢) الْمُزَاحَةِ، وَيَتْرُكَ الْمِرَاءَ وَإِنْ كَانَ صَادِقًا " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: A person cannot be a complete believer until he gives up lying even in jest, and gives up quarreling even when he is truthful.
