Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Angel of Death came to Musa (peace be upon him) to seize his soul and said to him, "Respond to the call of your Lord," Musa (peace be upon him) struck him with a slap and gouged out his eye. He returned to his Lord and said, "You have sent me to a servant who does not want to die." Allah restored his eye and said, "Go back to him and tell him to place his hand on the back of an ox; for every hair that comes under his hand, he will be granted one year of life." Musa (peace be upon him) asked, "O Lord, what will happen after that?" He replied, "Then death will come." He said, "Then let it be now."
