حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَقَدَّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَمَضَانَ بِصَوْمِ يَوْمٍ، وَلَا يَوْمَيْنِ، إِلَّا رَجُلٌ كَانَ صِيَامَهُ فَلْيَصُمْ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do not fast one or two days before Ramadan, except for a person who has the habit of fasting, then he may fast on that day.
