Musnad Ahmad Hadith 8552

It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when he arrived in Madinah Munawwarah with a group of his people to accept Islam, the Prophet (ﷺ) had gone to Khaybar and had appointed Siba’ bin ‘Arfatah (may Allah be pleased with him) as his deputy over Madinah Munawwarah. He says that when I reached the service of the Prophet (ﷺ), he was leading the Fajr prayer. In the first rak’ah, he recited Surah Maryam and in the second, Surah Mutaffifin. I thought to myself that such-and-such a man is ruined because when he takes from others by measure, he takes in full, but when he gives to others, he gives less. In any case, when the Prophet (ﷺ) finished the prayer, he granted us some provisions for the journey, until we reached Khaybar. By that time, the Prophet (ﷺ) had conquered Khaybar. The Prophet (ﷺ) spoke to the Muslims and included us in the share of the spoils of war.
