حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " مَنْ سُئِلَ عَنْ عِلْمٍ فَكَتَمَهُ، أَلْجَمَهُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: If a person is asked about some knowledge and he conceals it without reason, then on the Day of Resurrection a bridle of fire will be put in his mouth.
