حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ الْمَسَجِدِ (١) ، يَكْتُبُونَ النَّاسَ عَلَى مَنَازِلِهِمْ، جَاءَ فُلَانٌ مِنْ سَاعَةِ كَذَا، جَاءَ فُلَانٌ مِنْ سَاعَةِ كَذَا، جَاءَ فُلَانٌ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ، جَاءَ فُلَانٌ فَأَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ وَلَمْ يُدْرِكِ الْجُمُعَةَ، إِذَا لَمْ يُدْرِكِ الْخُطْبَةَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: On the day of Friday, the angels stand at the doors of the mosque and record the ranks of the people, that such-and-such a person came at such-and-such a time, such-and-such a person came at such-and-such a time, such-and-such a person came when the Imam was delivering the sermon, and such-and-such a person came and only got the prayer but did not get the Friday (reward). They write this as long as someone has not missed the sermon.
