حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُجْمِرِ،، ، أَنَّهُ رَقِيَ إِلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَهُوَ يَتَوَضَّأُ، فَرَفَعَ فِي عَضُدَيْهِ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيَّ، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ أُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ هُمُ الْغُرُّ الْمُحَجَّلُونَ مِنْ آثَارِ الْوُضُوءِ، فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يُطِيلَ غُرَّتَهُ، فَلْيَفْعَلْ " فَقَالَ نُعَيْمٌ: لَا أَدْرِي قَوْلُهُ: " مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يُطِيلَ غُرَّتَهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ " (١)، ، مِنْ قَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَوْ مِنْ قَوْلِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،
Translation
English translation
Nuaim bin Abdullah once climbed onto the roof of the mosque and reached Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), who was performing ablution. He had washed his arms above the elbows. Then he turned towards me and said, "I heard the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) say: On the Day of Resurrection, the people of my Ummah will have radiant and shining foreheads from the marks of ablution. (Therefore, whoever among you can increase his brightness should do so.)"
