Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: وَأُرَاهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ يَرْفَعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، أَوْ لَتُخْطَفَنَّ أَبْصَارُهُمْ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: People should refrain from raising their eyes towards the sky during prayer, otherwise their eyesight will be taken away.
