حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " بِمَحْلُوفِ (١) رَسُولِ اللهِ مَا أَتَى عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ شَهْرٌ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، وَلَا أَتَى عَلَى الْمُنَافِقِينَ شَهْرٌ شَرٌّ لَهُمْ (٢) مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، وَذَلِكَ لِمَا يُعِدُّ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْقُوَّةِ لِلْعِبَادَةِ، وَمَا يُعِدُّ فِيهِ الْمُنَافِقُونَ مِنْ غَفَلَاتِ النَّاسِ وَعَوْرَاتِهِمْ، هُوَ غنْمٌ الْمُؤْمِنُ يَغْتَنِمُهُ الْفَاجِرُ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that no month casts a better shade over a Muslim than the month of Ramadan, and no month is harder upon the hypocrites than Ramadan. The reason for this is that Muslims gather strength for worship in this month, while the hypocrites seek out people's heedlessness and faults.
