English translation

Sulaiman bin Yasar (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once the use of checks became common among traders. The traders asked Marwan for permission to buy and sell through them, and he granted them permission. When Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) found out, he went to him and said, "You have permitted usurious trade, whereas the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the sale of grain before taking possession of it?" Sulaiman says that then I saw Marwan sent a group of guards who began to snatch checks from the hands of those who did not resist.
