حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " نَحْنُ أَحَقُّ بِالشَّكِّ مِنْ إِبْرَاهِيَمَ، إِذْ قَالَ: {رَبِّ أَرِنِي كَيْفَ تُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى، قَالَ أَوَلَمْ تُؤْمِنْ قَالَ: بَلَى وَلَكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي} [البقرة: ٢٦٠] " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: We are more deserving of doubt than Ibrahim (peace be upon him), because he had said: "O my Lord, show me how You give life to the dead." Allah said: "Do you not believe?" He replied: "Yes, but I wish to satisfy my heart."
