حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا كَامِلٌ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قِيلَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَمَا تَغَارُ؟ " قَالَ: " وَاللهِ، إِنِّي لَأَغَارُ، وَاللهُ أَغْيَرُ مِنِّي، وَمِنْ غَيْرَتِهِ نَهَى عَنِ الْفَوَاحِشِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that someone asked the Holy Prophet (ﷺ), "Do you also feel a sense of honor (ghayrah)?" He replied, "By Allah, I am the one who feels the most honor, and Allah is more honorable than me, and for this reason, He has forbidden indecent acts."
