حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ لَمْ تُحْبَسْ عَلَى بَشَرٍ إِلَّا لِيُوشَعَ لَيَالِيَ سَارَ إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The sun was not held back for anyone except for Yusha (peace be upon him). This incident occurred with him during the days when he advanced towards Bayt al-Maqdis.
