Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying: "The destruction of my Ummah will be at the hands of a few foolish youths from the Quraysh." Upon hearing this hadith, Marwan, who was sitting with us in the circle of hadith and had not yet become governor, said: "May Allah's curse be upon those boys." Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "By Allah, if I wish, I can even tell you the names of their tribes." The narrator says: When Marwan became governor, I set out with my father and grandfather. Those people were taking allegiance even from children, and the one for whom allegiance was being taken was wrapped in a sheet. He said to us: "Perhaps your companions have heard Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate a hadith about kings, that they resemble one another."
