حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي إِذَا رَأَيْتُكَ طَابَتْ نَفْسِي، وَقَرَّتْ عَيْنِي، فَأَنْبِئْنِي عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ (٢) ، قَالَ: " كُلُّ شَيْءٍ خُلِقَ (١) مِنَ الْمَاءِ ". قَالَ: أَنْبِئْنِي بِأَمْرٍ إِذَا أَخَذْتُ بِهِ دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ. قَالَ: " أَفْشِ السَّلَامَ، وَأَطْعِمِ الطَّعَامَ، وَصِلِ الْأَرْحَامَ، وَصَلِّ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ، ثُمَّ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ " قَالَ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ: وَأَنْبِئْنِي عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ. Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I submitted in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), "O Messenger of Allah, when I see you, my heart becomes cool and my eyes find peace. Please tell me the origin of everything?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Everything has been created from water." I submitted, "Tell me something that if I hold on to it, I will enter Paradise." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Spread peace, feed food, maintain ties of kinship, and stand in prayer at night when people are sleeping, and you will enter Paradise in peace."
