Original Arabic
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ، فَأَيُّكُمْ مَا تَرَكَ دَيْنًا أَوْ ضَيْعَةً فَادْعُونِي، فَأَنَا وَلِيُّهُ، وَأَيُّكُمْ، ، مَا تَرَكَ مَالًا، فَلْيَوَرَّثْ (١) مَالُهُ عُصْبَتَهُ مَنْ كَانَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
And the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: I have more right over all Muslims than their own selves according to the Book of Allah. Therefore, whoever among you leaves behind a debt or children, their payment is my responsibility, and whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his heirs, whoever they may be.
