حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ بْنُ هَمَّامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَمْ يُسَمَّ خَضِرًا إِلَّا أَنَّهُ جَلَسَ عَلَى فَرْوَةٍ بَيْضَاءَ، فَإِذَا هِيَ تَهْتَزُّ خَضْرَاءَ " (٤)، ، الْفَرْوَةُ: الْحَشِيشُ الْأَبْيَضُ وَمَا أَشْبَهُهُ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ (١) : " أَظُنُّ هَذَا تَفْسِيرًا مِنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ "،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said regarding Khidr (peace be upon him) that he is called Khidr because when he sat on a white grassy patch, it turned green and started waving beneath him.
