حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، وَعَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى لَا تصبغُ (١) ، فَخَالِفُوهُمْ " (٢)، ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، فِي حَدِيثِهِ: قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ: وَأَمَرَ (١) بِالْأَصْبَاغِ، فَأَحْلَكُهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيْنَا، قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: " وَكَانَ الزُّهْرِيُّ يَخْضِبُ بِالسَّوَادِ "،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The Jews and Christians do not dye their hair with henna and the like, so you should oppose them." Imam Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "I like black dye very much," and Muammar says that Imam Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) used to apply black dye.
