حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " قَرَأَ النَّجْمَ، فَسَجَدَ وَسَجَدَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ، إِلَّا رَجُلَيْنِ أَرَادَا الشُّهْرَةَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) recited Surah Najm. When he reached the verse of prostration, he (peace be upon him) also performed it. Except for two men who wanted to gain fame.
