حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الطَّحَّانِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَشْرَبُ قَائِمًا، فَقَالَ لَهُ: " قِهِ " قَالَ: لِمَهْ؟ قَالَ: " أَيَسُرُّكَ أَنْ يَشْرَبَ مَعَكَ الْهِرُّ؟ " قَالَ: لَا. قَالَ: " فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ شَرِبَ مَعَكَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مِنْهُ، الشَّيْطَانُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) saw a man drinking water while standing, so he said to him, "Vomit it out." He asked, "Why?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do you like that a cat drinks water with you?" He said, "No." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Something more evil than a cat has drunk water with you, and that is Satan."
