Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ يَعْنِي سُهَيْلًا، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، يُخْبِرُهُمْ ذَلِكَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا كَفَى أَحَدَكُمْ خَادِمُهُ صَنْعَةَ طَعَامِهِ، وَكَفَاهُ حَرَّهُ وَدُخَانَهُ، فَلْيُجْلِسْهُ مَعَهُ فَلْيَأْكُلْ، فَإِنْ أَبَى، فَلْيَأْخُذْ لُقْمَةً فَلْيُرَوِّغْهَا، ثُمَّ لِيُعْطِهَا (١) إِيَّاهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When any one of you has a servant who has taken care of preparing the food and endured its heat and cold, then he should make him sit with him and feed him. If he cannot do so, then he should take a morsel, dip it well in the curry, and give it to him.
