حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ لُوَيْنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ رُوَيْبَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعَتْ أُذُنَايَ، وَوَعَاهُ، قَلْبِي مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " النَّاسُ تَبَعٌ لِقُرَيْشٍ، صَالِحُهُمْ تَبَعٌ لِصَالِحِهِمْ،، ، وَشِرَارُهُمْ تَبَعٌ لِشِرَارِهِمْ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from `Ali bin Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) that he said:
My ears heard and my heart understood from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): “The people follow Quraish: the righteous ones follow their righteous ones and the evil ones follow their evil ones.`
