Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، حَدَّثَنِي حُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، حَدَّثَهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى، وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The upper hand is better than the lower hand, and you should begin charity and alms with those who are under your responsibility.
