حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَمَثَلِ الزَّرْعِ، لَا يَزَالُ الرِّيحُ تُفِيئُهُ، وَلَا يَزَالُ الْمُؤْمِنُ يُصِيبُهُ بَلَاءٌ، وَمَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ كَمَثَلِ شَجَرَةِ الْأَرْزَةِ، لَا تَهْتَزُّ حَتَّى تُسْتَحْصَدَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The example of a Muslim is like that of a crop; winds keep blowing over the crop and keep shaking it, and calamities keep coming upon a Muslim. And the example of a hypocrite is like that of a pine tree, which does not move by itself, but is uprooted all at once.
