حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ،، ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: " حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْ الْمَدِينَةِ " قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: " فَلَوْ وَجَدْتُ الظِّبَاءَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا مَا ذَعَرْتُهَا. وَجَعَلَ حَوْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ مِيلًا حِمًى " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) declared the area between the two boundaries of Madinah Munawwarah as a sanctuary (Haram). Therefore, even if I see deer in Madinah Munawwarah, I would not frighten them. And the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) declared the area around Madinah, extending twelve miles, as a pasture.
