Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَلْيَسْتَفْتِحْ صَلَاتَهُ بِرَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When any one of you gets up for the Tahajjud prayer, he should begin it with two light rak'ahs.
