Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، وَكَانَ مَعْمَرٌ، يَقُولُ: عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - ثُمَّ قَالَ بَعْدُ -، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، فِي زَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ: " عَلَى كُلِّ حُرٍّ وَعَبْدٍ، ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى، صَغِيرٍ أَوْ كَبِيرٍ، فَقِيرٍ أَوْ غَنِيٍّ، صَاعٌ مِنْ تَمْرٍ، أَوْ نِصْفُ صَاعٍ مِنْ قَمْحٍ " قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ الزُّهْرِيَّ، كَانَ يَرْوِيهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) (probably as a marfu’ hadith) that it is obligatory upon every person, whether free or slave, man or woman, child or elderly, poor or wealthy, to give one sa’ of dates or half a sa’ of wheat as Sadaqat al-Fitr.
