حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى قَالَ: لَا يَقُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ: يَا خَيْبَةَ الدَّهْرِ (١) فَإِنِّي أَنَا الدَّهْرُ، أُقَلِّبُ لَيْلَهُ وَنَهَارَهُ، فَإِذَا شِئْتُ قَبَضْتُهُمَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah Almighty says that none of you should say, "Destruction is caused by time," for I am the Creator of time; I alternate its nights and days, and whenever I wish, I will draw both of them to Myself.
