Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَقُولُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: يُؤْذِينِي ابْنُ آدَمَ "، قَالَ: " يَقُولُ: يَا خَيْبَةَ الدَّهْرِ فَإِنِّي أَنَا الدَّهْرُ، أُقَلِّبُ لَيْلَهُ وَنَهَارَهُ، فَإِذا (١) شِئْتُ قَبَضْتُهُمَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah says, "The son of Adam hurts Me; he says that time has ruined him, whereas I am the Creator of time. I am the One who alternates its night and day, and whenever I wish, I will draw both of them back to Myself."
